These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Hujam Android app, Hujam AI and Hujam Pro (together, "Hujam"), provided by Umber AB, Ribegatan 28, Stockholm ("we", "us"). By installing or using Hujam you agree to these Terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data and forms part of these Terms.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived by contract.
1. Who can use Hujam
You must be at least 16 years old. If you use Hujam on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you may bind it to these Terms.
2. Your account
You can use Hujam's on-device features without an account. Hujam AI and some model downloads require you to sign in. Keep your sign-in details secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app.
3. Free trial and Hujam Pro
- A new install includes a free trial that needs no account. When it ends, continued use requires a Hujam Pro subscription.
- Subscriptions are sold and billed by Google Play. The price, billing period and any introductory offer are shown before you confirm the purchase.
- A subscription renews automatically until you cancel it in Google Play. Cancelling stops the next renewal; access continues until the end of the period you paid for.
- Refunds are handled under Google Play's refund policies and any statutory rights you have.
- Hujam AI includes a usage allowance. When it is used up, Hujam AI pauses until it resets; on-device processing keeps working.
4. Your content
Your recordings, transcripts, translations, summaries and edits belong to you. They are stored encrypted on your device. We do not store, back up or sync them.
When you choose Hujam AI for a capability, you give us a limited permission to transmit and process the audio or text you send, only to return the result to you. We do not use your content to train AI models. The Privacy Policy describes exactly what is processed, by whom and for how long.
Because your content lives only on your device, we cannot recover it if you lose or reset the device, uninstall the app, or use the erase-all ("panic wipe") function. Export anything you need to keep.
5. Recording other people
Recording conversations is regulated, and the rules differ between countries and states. Some require the consent of everyone being recorded. You are responsible for having the right to record, import, transcribe, translate and summarize any audio you use with Hujam, and for how you use the results.
6. Acceptable use
You must not use Hujam to:
- break any law, or infringe anyone's privacy, intellectual property or other rights;
- record people covertly where that is unlawful;
- interfere with, overload, probe or reverse-engineer Hujam AI or our gateway, or bypass usage allowances, access controls or subscription checks;
- resell or provide Hujam AI to others as a service.
We may suspend Hujam AI access for an account that breaches this section.
7. AI-generated results
Transcripts, speaker labels, translations and summaries are produced automatically, on your device or by Hujam AI, and can be wrong or incomplete. Every result carries a badge showing which engine produced it. Check anything important against the original audio. Results are not legal, medical, financial or other professional advice.
8. On-device models
Hujam can download AI models from our catalog, import model files you choose, or download models from a Hugging Face repository you name. Each model is governed by its own licence, which you are responsible for following. Models you import or download from third parties are not provided or endorsed by us.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep Hujam AI available but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. It needs an internet connection. We may change, suspend or discontinue features. If we discontinue something you paid for, we will tell you in advance where we can and you keep the statutory remedies you are entitled to.
10. Our intellectual property
Hujam, its design, code and brand belong to us or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for as long as you comply with these Terms. Open-source components are licensed under their own licences.
11. Ending these Terms
You can stop using Hujam at any time by uninstalling it and, if you have one, deleting your account. We may end or suspend your access if you materially breach these Terms, or if we are required to by law.
12. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent the law allows, Hujam is provided "as is". We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of content stored only on your device. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for Hujam in the twelve months before the claim.
These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Hujam after that means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by Laws of Sweden. If you are a consumer, you also benefit from the mandatory protections of the law of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings there.
